Is “Tumblr raised me” too much of a stretch?
But it did. I might have turned out quite horrible if I didn’t have access to, essentially, a library of media and information that was the Internet in 2007-2011. Different perspectives. I grew up into somebody different because of it. And I love that blogs are extinct, now. Like dark room photography and old-school Mcdonald’s. I love the idea of a place for yourself on the Internet, a room, somewhere to go, the way Myspace used to feel.
Not an algorithm, not monetized, just, something that exists for the sake of it.
